The Isabel Marant in-house sample sale is finally returning to New York — and if you know, you know — this is not a routine sale.
This event hasn’t happened in roughly a year and a half, and the last time it ran, readers and followers found some of the best true sample pieces I’ve seen in seasons — including one-of-a-kind runway and showroom items at exceptional prices.
Personally, one of my best-ever sample sale purchases came from the last event: a fur and leather gilet for approximately $150 — a piece that would normally sit in a completely different price category at retail.
Why This Sale Is Different
In-house sample sales tend to include:
- True showroom samples
- Development pieces
- One-off colorways
- Editorial and runway items
- Limited size runs
- Deeper markdowns than standard multi-brand events
That’s why these are the sales where the most memorable finds usually happen.
What To Expect
Expect strong outerwear, statement pieces, and elevated bohemian staples — the categories the brand is known for — along with harder-to-find items that rarely appear in broader sample circuits.
Strategy Tips
If you’re planning to attend:
- Go as early in the sale window as possible
- Scan outerwear + leather first
- Check construction tags — many are true samples
- Don’t hesitate too long — one-off pieces don’t restock
I’ll be sharing what’s worth prioritizing and live reports as more details come in.
