New week, new sample sales.
The transition into October is bringing a particularly broad lineup to New York, with designer fashion, contemporary labels, hosiery, outerwear, home and accessories all represented.
This week’s calendar includes Diesel, Akris, Reiss London, ATM, RUDSAK, Scanlan Theodore, Janessa Leone, Another Tomorrow, Wolford, Walter Baker, Boll & Branch and more.
There are also several online sample sales for anyone shopping outside New York.
Here is everything to know.
Scanlan Theodore, Janessa Leone & Another Tomorrow
Three brands come together at 148 Lafayette Street this week.
The sale runs Wednesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 7 PM, followed by Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM.
This is one of the more interesting multi-brand events of the week, particularly if you are looking for polished womenswear and accessories in one stop.
Boll & Branch
Boll & Branch heads to 260 Fifth Avenue.
The sale opens Tuesday from 11 AM to 8 PM, continues Wednesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 7 PM, and closes Sunday at 5 PM.
If bedding and home are on your list, this is one of the week’s dedicated home-shopping opportunities.
Reiss London
Reiss London will be at 261 Fifth Avenue.
The sale runs Tuesday from 10 AM to 7 PM, Wednesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM.
Reiss is one to watch for tailored separates, dresses, occasionwear and elevated wardrobe basics.
Diesel
Diesel is holding its sale at 15 East 37th Street from Tuesday through Sunday, 10 AM to 6 PM.
For anyone interested in denim, statement pieces and the brand’s more recognizable Y2K-influenced styles, this could be one of the busiest fashion sales of the week.
Akris
Akris arrives at 317 West 33rd Street beginning Thursday.
Shop Thursday through Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM, with final-day hours Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Akris is one of the week’s more luxury-focused events and may be particularly interesting for investment pieces, tailoring and sophisticated ready-to-wear.
Wolford & Walter Baker
Wolford and Walter Baker share a sale at 261 West 36th Street, 2nd Floor.
The event is relatively short, running Tuesday and Wednesday only from 10 AM to 6 PM.
If this sale is on your list, I would not wait until later in the week.
L’Objet, Reflections, Baobab & Christofle
Another multi-brand event takes place at 45 West 25th Street.
It opens Wednesday from 12 PM to 7 PM and continues Thursday through Saturday from 10 AM to 7 PM.
This one stands apart from much of the week’s fashion-heavy calendar, with luxury home, fragrance and tabletop names included.
ATM & RUDSAK
ATM and RUDSAK will be at 22 Little West 12th Street.
Shop Wednesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM.
The combination gives shoppers a mix of elevated everyday staples alongside outerwear and seasonal pieces.
Cinzia Rocca
Cinzia Rocca has a one-day sale Tuesday at 30 Central Park South, Penthouse, from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Because this is a single-day event, add it to your calendar if you’re specifically looking for the brand.
Online Sample Sales This Week
You do not have to be in New York to shop this week’s calendar.
260 Sample Sale is hosting an online event featuring commando, Sasha Therese and THIERRY LASRY, beginning Wednesday at 10 AM EST and ending Sunday at 11:59 PM EST.
A second online sale featuring Henné Organics, Luv Aj and VIR VITA starts Thursday at 10 AM EST and ends Sunday at 11:59 PM EST.
What I’m Watching This Week
From a fashion perspective, Diesel, Akris and Boll and Branch are three of the most interesting names on the calendar.
Diesel could be particularly worth watching for denim and statement fashion, while Akris offers a more luxury-focused opportunity. Reiss sits somewhere in between, making it a potentially useful sale for shoppers looking for pieces that can move easily between work, events and everyday dressing.
The Christofle/L’Objet pairing is also worth noting as we move into October and shoppers begin thinking more seriously about fall layers and outerwear.
As always, inventory, pricing and sizes can change quickly at sample sales, particularly after opening day.
